What time does this event start?

Cowboy Boots and Hometown Roots will start at 7pm and ends at 11pm on Saturday April 8th, 2017. There is a private reception for the Many Hands Project prior until 6:30pm. Doors will open to the main event at 6:45pm.

 

Where is the venue?

Club Castropignano is at 1311 Egerter Rd, Port Robinson, ON L0S 1K0.  It is conveniently located just off the 406, take RR 37 towards Merritt Road. Head east on Merritt Road then turn left onto Kottmeier Road, turn right onto Port Robinson Road and then right onto Egerter Road and the venue will be on your right. The venue is easily accessible from Welland, NF and Thorold.

What does my ticket get include?

Your ticket will grant you access to the venue, a night of live acoustic music featuring Brad Battle, Ashlynne Vince and By Request DJ Entertainment. Southern comfort foods, whisky tasting, photo booth, line dancing demonstration, rustic games and a candy/dessert bar.

Will there be a bar to purchase drinks?

Yes, drinks will be sold for $5 each. We will be offering local wines, a special Hometown NC beer and mixed drinks. We will also have a complimentary tasting of Forty Creek’s Barrel Select and Whisky Cream Liquor.

 

What type of food with there be?

The evening will feature gourmet comfort foods from Pig Out and Gooddine Catering

  • Whole cracked pig roast with freshly baked buns and apple rosemary chutney

  • Mac N’ cheese bites

  • Charred pineapple and bocconcini rosemary skewers

  • Avocado, corn, black bean tostada

  • Mini meatball skewers with house made BBQ sauce

  • Classic “Hometown” Tomato Soup with Aged Cheddar and Caramelized onions

  • Candy and dessert table

 

Will there be gluten free/vegetarian options?

Yes, a limited amount.

 

What is the dress code?

Dress for comfort from jeans to the little black dress for ladies and gents, dark denim or slacks with a collared shirt is suggested.

 

What is a Mystery Albums raffle?

Participants will purchase a gently used country album for $10 which includes a prize voucher inside. Win the album and the prize which can range from $5 gift cards to tickets to the Wine & Food Expo, Niagara Jazz Festival, Grand Central and more. The grand prize is two ticket to a Blue Jays game.  Make sure to bring cash as you will not want to miss this.

 

Is there a charge for the games/activities?

There are no set fees. As this is a fundraiser, we encourage you to make a donation at any of our game and activity areas. Participation in our Country 89 roulette prize wheel starts at a minimum of $1 donation. We suggest bringing a pocketful of loonies and toonies to win prizes all night long.

 

How can I purchase event tickets?

There are three options for purchasing tickets:

  • We are located at Niagara College on Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus. Find us in room N304C

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

Unfortunately, we will not be selling tickets at the door so we encourage you to get your tickets prior to event night.

 

Is there an ATM at the venue?

Club Castropignano does not have an ATM on site. Please bring cash for the bar, mystery albums, silent auction and donations for activities. Credit card purchases can be made for auction items only.

 

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is a parking lot at Club Castropignano that can hold just over 100 vehicles. If the parking lot is full, vehicles permitted to park along the road.

 

What is the minimum age to attend this event?

Cowboy Boots and a Hometown Roots is a 19+ event.

 

Is there free wifi at this location?

Yes. Wifi is available. We do need to advise you that phone signals inside the venue can be spotty.

 

Is there a designated smoking area?

Yes, you are able to smoke on the property outside in the designated smoking area.

 

What if I am not a “country” fan?

We understand that not everyone likes country so we ask you to join us to support the Many Hands Project and Hotel Dieu Shaver. This is a fundraiser filled with great food all night long, raffles, auctions, photo fun, drinks and music. Our entertainers are country artists but offer a variety of “other” genres and our DJ is open to suggestions. Country fans will not be disappointed at our evening and other guests may just turn a little country that night as well.
